Thesis cover Gesa van den Broek Utrecht, 2017
Yeah! Once again I was asked to capture the complexity of science in one image.
I love my job.
This time I made a cover for Gesa van den Broek who wrote her thesis about the affects of reactivating information from the long term memory storage in the brain. Her research is an attempt to gain insight into practice conditions that lead to effective vocabulary learning in a foreign language, and in particular, into the benefits of memory retrieval for word retention.
Activation, light, networks, points, (new) connections, recalling and recovering were a couple of words from where I started drawing, et voilà!
